Unified National Fine (UNF)

Bordo chrome alloy die nuts are ideal for repairing, restoring, or forming external threads where a traditional button die cannot be used due to limited access or confined work areas. They are commonly used on-site for quick thread maintenance on non-ferrous metals and plastics.

These UNF die nuts follow the Unified thread standard, introduced in 1948 to harmonise thread forms across the USA, Canada, and the UK. UNF threads provide a higher tensile stress area compared to coarse threads of the same diameter, offering improved resistance against stripping in demanding applications.
