This model is a revival of the WAVE RIDER 1, the first running shoe with “MIZUNO WAVE” listed by MIZUNO Footwear, updated as a completely new model using modern technology.
The base WAVE RIDER1 is an epoch-making shoe that was created in 2018 as the first phase of the global project “KAZOKU PJ”.
In 2021, the third anniversary of its global rollout as a reprint model, the Wave Rider 1 Beta was reborn as a completely new model with a major update timed to coincide with the anniversary.
The upper is a bootie structure combined with “no-sew” sewing, which means no thread is used for sewing, and combined with the highly elastic material around the mouth, it is easy to put on and take off like a slip-on.
This is a revival model of the sneakers (not running shoes).
